Intro to Tunnel Books - Dec 9

Join me as I share my tips and tricks for creating your own art tunnel book!
In the workshop, I will cover the best cutting tools and glue, sources for books and collage materials, and a demonstration with tips and tricks for cutting book covers and pages. Together we will work on planning and composing layers within the tunnel to create a unique visual environment. No experience is necessary to join, and there will be time for questions/sharing as well.
A materials list, your pre-cut tunnel book (rescued from the damaged bin with cover and inside pages pre-cut for you), and a small selection of random collage cut-outs will be provided via mail before the workshop. The Zoom link will be emailed to you the week prior to the workshop.
Participants are encouraged to have the following ready to use during the live workshop:
Random cut-outs from old magazines/books/postcards/drawings (think of interesting objects, people, flora, fauna etc.).
Photographs of friends, pets, or loved ones (that you are willing to cut up) if you'd like to feature them in your tunnel book
acid-free glue sticks
scissors and/or x-acto series #1 knife (plus cutting mat if using a knife)
sheets of junk paper to protect your worktop from glue
creativity and enthusiasm
Shipping to Canada and US is included in the fee. (International shipping will be an additional fee.)
No refunds once pre-cut books have been shipped.
